A little more cloudy this morning but the sun was
still peaking through. After breakfast we hopped in the car and went over to the
Beach House. Arriving around 11:30am we thought for sure it would be crowded.
No, not today, a small crowd once again. Does this place ever feel crowded? We
enjoyed the sun and water. The air temperatures were a little warmer even today.
The sun kept moving behind some high, wispy clouds making it feel a little
cooler. There was a light breeze making another incredible day. This is
certainly the time of year for this area!
We had a quick
lunch at Signals. We highly recommend the Chicken Tenders- very tasty with good
portion size. We actually split one order and felt satisfied. Afterwards we
enjoyed a Husky bar (just like a Klondike). We sat in the sun for a bit more
then took a walk on the beach and swam a little as well. The ocean water seemed
a little cooler today than the previous time. After showering off the sand and
salt we jumped into the pool. It, however, felt much warmer now.
After a couple of
hours in the sun we decided to call it a day as we both could tell we were
getting fried! Doesn’t take too much for us to get burned. When we get burned
we also get VERY cranky with each other. Rather than ruining our last bit of
vacation as well as making the drive home unbearable, we decided to call it a
day. Actually it was just in time as the sky became very overcast with some dark
clouds.
After returning to
the room, Karen cleaned up while I returned Inspector Gadget to the Mercantile.
Along the way, I brought the video camera and tried to capture the resort. The
pool was incredibly crowded today. Must have been a lot of ‘check-ins’.
After returning the video, I made my way back to the room to clean up.
We made our way
back to the Outlet Stores as Karen had put several items on hold until their
weekend sale started. We left from there and placed a take-out order with
Outback Steakhouse. While our food was being prepared, we stopped at Wal-Mart
once again. We bought another couple of the reasonable souvenirs as well as some
after sun lotion. Karen really burned her legs and needed some relief. At the
Outback, the food was brought right to our car door, we didn't even have to get
out. Everything was excellent. Another must-do even at home!
We packed out
suitcases and did some last minute laundry. We took a walk to the pool for one
last night nighttime swim. Quite a few more people here tonight. Definitely a
big check-in day. Could be because this is a long weekend with Monday being
Columbus day.Back at the room we
did some last minute packing and went to bed.
