Day 5- Sunday February 29, 2004
Had to set the alarm clock this morning in order to pack all of our ‘stuff’ before check-out time arrived- how sad! After everything was packed and into the car we made our way over to Wilderness Lodge. We walked the grounds and already planned our next trip here! We hopped on the boat over to the MK and joined the throngs of people arriving. We made our way up Main Street and towards Peter Pan’s flight to get FastPass. Good thing as the Standby line was 45 minutes. After retrieving our FastPasses, we made out way to the Haunted Mansion and then finally got a chance to ride the Liberty Bell. After Liberty Bell we took ride with the Pirates of the Caribbean and then got an ice cream sandwich at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square- a must do for us. It’s a warmed chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream, very yummy!
After our snack we made our way back to Fantasyland and entered the FastPass line for Peter Pan’s Flight. Even the FastPass line was a 15 minute wait. After leaving Peter Pan we slowly (the crowds were growing) made our way to Tomorrowland through the Castle (first time it had been open this trip). Out front of the Castle, several characters were signing autographs including Mickey, Minnie, Lilo & Stitch and Donald.
Once in Tomorrowland we road the TTA (one more time before leaving) and then slowly made our way towards Main Street as our flight back home was approaching. We caught the boat back to Wilderness Lodge, bought some last minute items. The Cast Member at the register asked what our plans were for the evening. Our answer….. we were going home. He very graciously offered to write us a note to have our vacation extended for oh, three months. Very tempting….. Back at the rental car we packed the last minute items and headed to the airport- another DVC vacation over.
