General/Intro
This is an unusual DVC trip report as we arrived in Orlando several days before checking in to OKW. Stephen had a tradeshow to attend for work and so arrived in Orlando on Saturday night (2/21) and checked into the Wyndham Palace Resort and Spa at the Marketplace. Karen arrived on Sunday (2/22). The ‘real’ vacation didn’t begin until Wednesday. However, while Stephen spent long, exhausting hours at the tradeshow Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Karen got a chance to play around at the parks.
Saturday February 21 - Wednesday February 25
On Monday, Karen purchased our annual passes and visited the Magic Kingdom. That evening we ate dinner at Olivia’s in OKW and then browsed through the General Store. Afterwards we drove over to the Marketplace and did a bit more browsing as well as going in to Pleasure Island.
On Tuesday, Stephen’s dad made the trip up from South Florida. Karen met him at the Marketplace and then went to the Magic Kingdom as well as to Epcot. The three of us had a quick dinner at the Wyndham before dad hit the road.
