Happy Anniversary to us, our Fifth Wedding Anniversary. It is appropriate that we spend it at WDW since our Wedding had a Disney theme, we had our Honeymoon at OKW and have spent our 2nd at VB, 3rd at BWV and 4th at HHI. We had special plans for today. Breakfast was going to be with the Princesses at Akershus in Epcot- the "Princess Storybook Breakfast" with Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Mary Poppins. As we had to be at the entrance to World Showcase by 8:30am we had to set the alarm for this day (7am- argh!) We left OKW around 7:45 and made it to Epcot in a matter of minutes. We were very early and actually parked in the second row. Not many cars at that time of the morning and no trams running so we walked in. We made our way through the turnstiles (were checked three times that we were in the Princess Breakfast). We made our way through Future World- NO one in sight! What cool pictures with NO ONE in Future World. We continued up to Norway and noticed that there was different music coming from the hidden speakers- in honor of the Princess Breakfast they were playing the music from the movies. We were seated pretty much right away at Akershus after being given a Happy Anniversary by the CM. Akershus Castle is a neat place and the Princesses were fun. We got our pictures, the kids at heart that we are! Breakfast was eggs, sausage patties, bacon, cheese potatoes, fruit and pastries. Bjorn was our server, a nice guy from Norway. After we finished he sent us on our way with a Norwegian farewell.

World Showcase still had not opened so we made our way back to Future World and made our first stop at Ellen’s Energy Adventure. This was pretty much a walk-on. We had our on car (you know, those cars in Ellen’s that hold upwards of oh, 500 people) all to ourselves! Ellen’s is always fun and Bill Nye is entertaining. After Ellen’s we continued up to Wonders of Life and having just had a full breakfast, decided to skip Body Wars and Cranium Command. As mentioned elsewhere, no sign of the MetLife symbol anywhere since they pulled their sponsorship.

We left Wonders and headed to Journey into Imagination. Here we also got our own car (only 6 person, though this time) but didn’t have to wait a minute! The updated version was very fun with Figment all over the place. After we made our first stop in a long time at Honey I Shrunk the Audience. With the special effects, it was a hoot. (This one we didn’t wait for- they shushed us along before they closed the doors).

After HISTA we stopped for a late morning snack of tea and biscuits at Fountainview Café and watched the fountain perform. Afterwards we stopped for a cool break at Ice Station Cool and enjoyed the various Coke Products, always a nice refreshing stop.

After our ‘cool’ break’ we made a stop at the Mickey World Traders and checked out the merchandise then to Mouse Gear and bought a scrapbook kit for "Flat Melanie’s" trip to WDW. For those who don’t know about the "Flat" people, our niece drew a picture of herself for school. She is supposed to send "Flat Melanie" on a trip with someone to learn about geography and such. That’s how she ended up going to WDW. We bought the scrap kit to have that as part of her presentation. We also bought the Beauty and the Beast on DVD offer that was being made in the parks. The Beauty DVD was $24 with a limited edition pin and a second DVD (we got Hercules) for free AND free shipping. Such a deal!

We had brought PB&J sandwiches and had them in a shady spot. It was another hot one! We stopped by Spaceship Earth- total walk-on and then visited the Art of Disney before heading out to the parking lot. The lot was very empty. In fact, even at 1:30pm, the tram was not operating. Instead they were shuttling people back and forth form the parking lot in golf carts. Hope it stays like this!

Back to OKW and cooling off at the pool. We were trying not to get too burned as we were spending the day tomorrow at the Undiscovered Future World backstage tour.

After a short nap and cleaning up, we drove over to the WL, valet parked the car (don’t tell anyone) and jumped on the boat to the MK. We made our way up Main Street (more pictures) and to the Castle. The show was gong on so we had to make our way around the right side (fountain) to Cinderella’s Royal Table. We had 6:10pm PS for our anniversary. Steve was our server and did a great job. Karen ordered the Glass Sipper smoothie in a take-home glass. We shared the salad and then each ordered the Kingdom Feast- excellent with Root Mash potatoes and toasted onions. Steve took our picture at the Royal Table. After dinner we rode Snow White’s Scary Adventure (no line) and then headed towards Peter Pan. The sign claimed a 5 minute wait but once we got in line, we realized it was wrong, more like 20. We escaped by crawling under the chain and walked towards Liberty Square. It looked like it was going to pour any minute. The humidity was higher this evening and quite uncomfortable so we visited the Christmas Store and decided to skip the fireworks. We made our way down a very crowded Main Street and out to the boats, picked up the car and back to OKW. Dirty stay-outs that we are, we were back home by 8:30pm. How boring on our anniversary but we know we had a big day ahead tomorrow. We had dessert with some of the Chamomile from United Kingdom at Epcot and enjoyed the Jacuzzi
